What Make -up do you use?
I mainly use Estee Lauder ,which is perfect for wedding makeup and looks beautiful on your wedding photographs. It will stay on all day, and the only thing you may need to touch up is your lipstick.
Do I need a trial?
Trials are important ,as this is your chance to discuss with me the look you want on your special day, I can also try out different colours if you are unsure of what kind of look you want.
It is important as well, to make sure that the make-up suits your skin, and you are not allergic to any products I use.
It is also nice to get to know you, and find out a bit about your wedding and plans
How soon before my wedding, do I need my trial?
I recommend a trial about 6 weeks before your wedding day.
Some brides like to try and arrange their hairstyle trial for the same day so they can get the complete look.
The 6 weeks is only a guideline, please be aware that during the summer months I may have to arrange either side of 6 weeks due to wedding day commitments.
Can you do separate trial dates for my bridesmaids/mother of the bride?
I can do separate trial dates, although many brides like to have their make-up done at the same time, of course this is not always possible
It is not compulsory to have a trial for your bridesmaids or bride's mother, but advisable so that they are happy on the wedding day!
What do I need to do to prepare for a trial and my wedding day make-up?
Please use your usual moisturiser, I always have some with me, but find it better if you use your usual brand.
On the wedding day please wear a button up top, so that you don't mess your hair up getting changed into your wedding gown.
If you are having your hair styled professionally, this should be done before you have your make-up done.
How long does a trial take?
Be prepared to allow up to 2 hours for a bride and an hour each for bridesmaids and mother of the bride.
My job is done when you are happy with your make-up, so I don't worry about giving time constraints.
How far in advance do you take bookings?
I can book up to a year in advance. Last minute bookings are sometimes available, please contact me to see if your date is available.
Are you mobile?
Yes I will travel to you both for the trial and the wedding, either at home or your wedding venue.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
I require a £10 deposit per person to secure your wedding date.
This will be deducted off the total wedding day cost. The deposit should be made within 10 days of booking with me.
The trial cost needs to be paid in cash on the trial day.
I require the balance for your wedding, 3 weeks before your wedding day, by either cash or a cheque. This saves you the extra worry of remembering to take cash with you on your wedding morning, when you should be looking forward to a wonderful day!!
What if you are ill on my wedding day?
In the extremely unlikely event that i am too ill that I am unable to do your wedding make-up, I will do my best to find another make up artist for you.
If this is not possible any money and deposits paid for the wedding (but not the wedding trial) would be refunded to you.
Are you insured?
I am fully insured
I live outside your designated area, are you able to travel?
I charge 40p a mile for any travel to a venue which is more than a 20 mile radius from Hinckley, Leicestershire.
Do you charge extra for Sundays of Bank holidays?
I do not charge any extra for these bookings
What hygiene procedures do you follow?
All my brushes are cleaned after use, and separate brushes used for each person.
I may need help changing into my wedding gown - do you charge for this service?
I am only too pleased to help you on your wedding day-from putting button holes on, fixing veils, to helping you with your dress-just ask! My theatrical background taught me to be calm, and am used to quick changes of costume!
There is no extra charge for this service, it is my pleasure.
What if I need to cancel my booking?
Please let me know 4 weeks in advance, when any deposits will be refunded, If you cancel within 4 weeks, I am unfortunately unable to return any deposits to you
